About

About me

I have years of experience as a business reporter on climate change, nature, and sustainability.

For more than a decade, I was the editor of Footprint, a leading Australian news service for climate change and sustainability professionals.

For 17 years, I was Australian correspondent for Washington-based news service BNA, both before and after its acquisition by Bloomberg, writing mainly on environmental and climate issues, as well as trade and tax.

I am also a former correspondent for UK-based Environmental Finance.

I have a broad and deep knowledge of Australian climate and environmental law and policy, and an understanding of key international trends and forces that are influencing our legislative and policy agenda.

I have an extensive network of contacts within government, business, and environmental groups.

Other specialists I work with

For communications work, I will sometimes team with Katie Kouchakji, a highly experienced climate change and sustainability journalist, and former editor of UK-headquartered Environmental Finance.

For campaign work, I will sometimes team with Mike Spirkovski, founder and chief creative officer of agency Sustainability Revolution. Mike was formerly chief creative officer with Saatchi and Saatchi, and created the global Earth Hour campaign.

For design and digital communications work, I will team with Melbourne-based agency Hortenzia. Chris Dansie, Hortenzia's co-founder and design director, has environmental science qualifications, and Hortenzia is a member of the global Climate Designers hub.

I can also work with your advisory firm or lawyers.
